For over a decade, the ALTdotCOMedy Lounge has been one of Toronto's premiere showcase venues and favourite spot for performers visiting the city. Encouraging alternative, untraditional and new material, the ALTdot features a variety of comedians and continues to discover the best. With our regular drop-in guests from around the world, sketch artists, character pieces, fantastic stand-up, the ALTdot aims at providing an alternative to the mainstream, in a comfortable, cabaret atmosphere.

Due to an overwhelming number of requests for spots on the ALTdot, a new show has been created. "Coming Soon..." is an up-and-comers night for the ALTdot COMedy Lounge. Acts that have never performed at either show before are asked for a 5-minute set to assess where they best fit into the Comedy Lounges. "Coming Soon..." is on the first Monday of every month at 11:00PM, FREE, after the ALTdot Comedy Lounge.

The younger sister to the ALTdot, The Sketch COMedy Lounge is now running every Tuesday after a successful 18 months on a twice-monthly schedule! Now in its third year, its popularity continues to grow, and audiences have been having a great time getting to know some of the city's best and most enthusiastic sketch artists. Each month features a variety of resident performers as well as the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) viral video night on the last Tuesday of every month!
