For 30 years, the ALTdot Comedy Lounge has been one of Toronto's premiere showcase venues and favourite spot for performers visiting the city. Encouraging alternative, untraditional and new material, the ALTdot features a variety of comedians and continues to discover the best. With our regular drop-in guests from around the world, sketch artists, character pieces, fantastic stand-up, the ALTdot aims at providing an alternative to the mainstream, in a comfortable, cabaret atmosphere.








On the first Tuesday of every month, The ALTdot Comedy Lounge holds an OPEN MIC NIGHT. There are 12 open mic spots available, at 5 minutes apiece; 7-minute spots are given to those comics who bring five or more audience members. Any comic is welcome to sign up as long as you bring some people with you. The shows also feature a headlining act and a host. One comic from each OPEN MIC NIGHT is awarded a spot at the following Monday's ALTdot Comedy Lounge.
